FAQs

Do I need a referral to book an Appointment?

No, clients can be Self- referred or Provider referred. If you are referred by an healthcare Provider, send your referral by fax or email to the office as we might need to update your provider about your Consult .

How do I Book An Appointment?

Simply use our online booking platform or our phone number. The booking platform has our Schedule as well, so it makes it easy to you to choose an appointment!

Tell me about Insurance and Payment!

Our Lactation consultants and wellness practitioners are not covered by provincial health and provincial health insurance plan such as AHS .

Payment is directly from clients and might be covered by insurance providers.

Companies such as Manulife, Great West Life, Sun life and Green Shield recognize the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential, however you will have to check your individual policy to determine your level of coverage.

Some companies cover lactation support under a health care spending account and others need a doctors note.

Clients will always get invoices for reimbursement for their insurance company.

What is Direct Care Membership?

It’s is specialized tailored service that is available to clients who are registered as members. Membership is available at a premium. The advantages of membership include timely care, payment plans and others. Check out our membership page!

I missed or am going to miss my appointment?

24hours minimum is required to cancel an appointment. You can do so by email , phone and reschedule. Lack of proper cancellation will result in a fee charge.

How does COVID affect my appointment?

We follow AHS provincial guidelines . Masks and other protocols are in effect. Do take this into consideration as you plan your appointments.
